Most saunas lack front-facing heaters, leaving the front of your body underheated. Our design ensures every part of you benefits from powerful, evenly distributed infrared heat.
Smaller Concentrated Heater Placement
Sun Stream saunas use smaller, high-watt density carbon panels positioned from shoulder height downward to concentrate infrared heat where your body absorbs it most effectively. By focusing power into smaller, hotter panels, the sauna delivers a more intense and efficient infrared experience.
Many infrared sauna brands use large low-density panels spread across the walls, producing broader but weaker heat. Our targeted heater layout helps raise core body temperature faster, induce a deeper sweat response, and create a more immersive full-body sauna experience.

Open Design Heater Guards & NO Cloth Covers
Sun Stream saunas are designed to maximise infrared performance without unnecessary barriers between you and the heat. Our open-design wooden heater guards use strong, widely spaced timber slats that allow infrared energy to flow freely toward the body, unlike heavily slatted designs that can reduce heat output.
Importantly, our Nano-Carbon heaters are completely free from synthetic cloth covers commonly found on many infrared sauna panels. Cloth coverings can reduce infrared efficiency, introduce unwanted synthetic materials into the sauna environment, and make proper hygiene more difficult over time.
The result is cleaner, more direct infrared heat and a more natural sauna experience.
100% Canadian Hemlock & Food Safe Glue Construction
Crafted entirely from 100% FSC-certified Canadian Hemlock, Sun Stream saunas are built without plywood, particleboard, or hidden composite materials commonly found in lower-quality saunas. Canadian Hemlock is prized for its strength, stability, resistance to warping, and hypoallergenic properties, making it an ideal timber for premium infrared sauna construction.
We also use premium USA-made Titebond water-based glues, approved for indirect food contact, helping create a cleaner and healthier sauna environment with reduced concern around unwanted off-gassing.

The main difference is the smaller size and ease of design for the Evolve Mini making it more cost effective to produce. To visualize the differences, click here to watch a short video.
- Outdoor placement is possible if completely protected from the weather. Colder climates will affect the warm-up time, for more detailed information see our FAQ page.
- The Saunas can be placed on carpet, tiles, timber or concrete flooring.
- The surface the sauna is placed on ideally needs to be perfectly level, however if slightly out, levelling will be required.
- For the assembly process there needs to be adequate space around the sauna before it’s pushed into place.
- Clearance required is 3-5cm for the sides and top of the sauna.
Sun Stream Saunas heat up to 65°C, but unlike traditional saunas, far infrared saunas work by heating your body directly—not just the air. This radiant heat penetrates deeply to trigger a powerful detoxifying sweat at lower, more comfortable temperatures. Our saunas deliver faster, more effective results thanks to high-powered carbon heaters, full 360° heat coverage, and no fabric barriers over the panels.
A pre-heat time of only 15 minutes is all that is required to bring the heaters up to their full operating temperature prior to commencing your sauna session.
